The worst thing about buying a new plant is to get disappointed with the result of this purchase... Now, this can happen for several reason but the good news is - it can be prevented from happening to begin with!

Quick tip:

A top money saving tip when purchasing a plant is to inspect it thoroughly. Often garden centres will repot a plant as the size of a plant determines its price. So, if a plant has recently been repotted, you are just paying extra for the pot!

A good way to tell if your choice is right is when the roots in the pot are firm around the sides and do not give much when squeezed slightly. Also, a more established plants roots will poke through the bottom of the plant pot.

Good luck choosing your next plant!
